Releasing along with the rest of the revamped Nexus line is the new Nexus Performance hockey stick series from Bauer. These sticks come in an elite look similar to that on the adult side, as well as particular colourways depending on the flex point to help track developing players’ progress. The Junior series is equipped with many high-performance features for future hockey stars, including a mid kick flex point, a 15K carbon fibre blade and shaft, and EZ-Flex technology. While the Vapor Junior series was tailored specifically for recreational play, this stick series focuses on performance-level play.
Stick Flex Profile
The Nexus Performance stick line follows the main focus of the Nexus line with a mid kick flex profile and EZ-Flex technology, making it easier and more efficient for younger players to flex their stick and load power into their shots. Mid kick is perfect for players who are just figuring out the type of hockey stick that works for them.
Shaft Construction & Stiffness
Bauer’s new Junior series of sticks are equipped with EZ-Flex for an easier load and release, with a strategically placed mid kick point. The shaft and blade are made of 15K carbon fibre in particular, which is used at higher price points as well due to its overall strength, light weight, and performance.
Blade Construction
The blade is also made of 15K carbon for a truly balanced feel, and it is additionally equipped with Cellcore blade technology. Cellcore is a traditional and rigid blade core known for its ease of use.
